The Mandalorian helmet is one that is incredibly difficult to replicate. The smooth, uninterrupted curvature of the design demands incredible attention to detail for finishing work. After printing in one piece on a modified CR-10S, the sanding and finishing process took the majority of the production time. After wet sanding and a coating of gloss black, the helmet was given a treatment of graphite polish from a powder to create the deep, dark metallic look as seen in the TV series.
